Imagine standing at the start line in the middle of Kapitelplatz, surrounded by over 100 excited runners. The spectators around you are just as eager for the starting signal as you are – and then, it’s go! You race past hundreds of cheering onlookers, through Dom- and Residenzplatz, and take a short loop through the Kai district before heading toward the Festival Halls. A whirlwind sightseeing tour, cheered on by countless spectators. Now things get intense: the Clemens-Holzmeister-Stiege with its 287 steps awaits. This part is a real challenge, but the following panoramic loop over the rooftops of Salzburg, around the Mönchs- and Festungsberg, makes it all worthwhile. The view of the Mozart City with the fortress in the background is absolutely priceless. But don’t underestimate this section either – cobblestones and narrow alleys demand your full concentration. Finally, it’s time to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere back at the race venue. After completing the Mönchsberg loop, you return to Kapitelplatz, greeted by music, announcers, and cheering spectators.
